our two male guinea pigs have suddenly started fighting all day. it started a couple days ago. they are about 8 months old and brothers and have always been caged together. their cage is 3ftx3ft.

any ideas on fixing this? i really really don't want 2 cages.

I just went through this with my two females. One was bullying the other and it was becoming more frequent and aggressive. I watched them closely for a couple of weeks and when it started to really escalate I put a divider in the cage. I have a C&C cage, 4x2, so dividing was easy. Now they can see each other and visit through the divider but there no more bullying and everyone is happy.

thank you. yeah, the cage situation needs to change i guess. we knew it would but i hoped it could wait. i guess the guy pegs are needing some extra attention, too.
