I had 8 contrax during one DVRed Law & Order (so that's 8 in 43 minutes.) Lots of pressure and a backache. I got freaked out and called the MW and after a lot of water, it stopped and I fell asleep.

What freaks me out about this is that you don't know if it will be okay, or if while you are drinking your water and laying on your left, your water will break or something.

I'm also worried b/c we're going to Disney on Monday, so rest & hydration aren't really in the cards for me.

Wow. That would be scary.

Can you rest up every second possible this weekend, then take hydration *very* seriously at Disney?

Hoping you're able to sleep in and rest up this weekend!

That had to be really nerve-wracking. Besides rest and water, what did the midwife say? And how are you feeling this morning?

Could you call Disney and ask about bringing in water when you're pregnant? Would they allow you to have large water bottles in your stroller (or whatever) if you're pregnant?

I know with ds (disabled), many parks will make exceptions for his special drinks, refridgerated meds, and specific snacks. Perhaps Disney could do something for you?

I've been googling it and they seem to be fine with plastic and aluminum water bottles.

I have started to have lots of BH and especially if I am not getting enough water or rest! When I eat too much or have some gas pains they feel like more then BH, but I am hoping that I am wrong since I am having them on and off a lot these days.
So, I know how scared you must feel, we are going to LV on June 5th and it would just be awful to get stuck there with a preemie! but if I need to just rest by the pool all week that will be fine with me.
Either way, I wish these contractions would give it a rest! yours too!

disney (at least in FL, i'm sure they are the same? we went in oct.08) allows you to bring in pretty much whatever you want for food/drink.. we packed lunches and brought in a cooler of drinks (soft bag cooler, not a full size one they frown on hard coolers) .. they just check everything at the gates . we had 2 strollers full of food and drinks (6 adults 2 kids in our group so it was really a lot of stuff) ..

as for the contrax.. that sucks. i had a lot of them with my first .. i can't remember when they started but it was 20-something weeks.. i would get 'too many' in an hour (i can't remember how many that was) every single afternoon.. but only for about one hour.. it really freaked me out but never amounted to anything..

We were at Disney World in March and I took two large Camelbak water bottles in my backpack every day. I drank a lot (then peed a lot, of course!) and we had no trouble finding places to refill them during the day.

It is a lot of walking, but there are also places to sit and rest all over, so if you're husband's taking the kids on a ride you can definitely have some down time.

I was just going to toss this out there because it's an issue I"ve noticed. When I sit in my computer chair for any length of time at a particular angle, it causes BH's to start up. You said you were watching TV, maybe thats what caused it? Just a thought, but yeah, I'd drink TONS of water. You'll pay for it in bathroom breaks but hopefully it'll keep your uterus from being irritable!
Have fun at Disney!
