With my first two, I never one time had false labor. When I started having "real" contrx I could tell they were different asap. Never made a trip in to L&D before baby in my life.

So I'm 36 wk tomorrow. I woke up this morning w/ Nasty cramping, intermittent lower back pain, thigh pain. Got up and moved around and started having really painful contrx every few min. Cramping stayed. After 20 min I was freaked. I laid down, they kept coming. Utter panic set in when I suddenly had to run to bathroom to empty bowels. I jumped in tub, shaved legs and relaxed. Out now and they are pretty much gone!! I feel fine. I almost wonder, since I have really irritable bowels, if something about needing to go was causing them?? Kinda like when you hold your pee? I dunno, but they hurt hurt and based on my past experience, was freaked out.

The up side is that after feeling so Done w/ this pregnancy, I realize after being scared, that I realllllly want her to sit tight for a couple weeks. Am a bit more zen about the wait.

Now DD2 and I are cuddling in bed as DH and DD1 clean breakfast up. (DD1 and I made breakfast in bed for everyone today). There is an awesome thunderstorm outside. Gonna take it easy today!

sometimes it takes something like that to make us realize we really aren't "done" yet!!

i'm 36 weeks and i am having high blood pressure, so i keep thinking HEY if she would just come, then i wouldn't have to keep worrying about bedrest, induction, etc...so it was good to read your post and remember that i have to take care of myself so she can bake a bit longer.

Good to hear things tapered off for you. I felt the same way yesterday in utter panic...she HAS to bake longer I kept telling her....but it was all I could do so I kept doing laundry, and cleaned up around the house too....then shaved my legs last night just in case too

Sooo glad it clmed down. At least my legs are smooth, lol. My uterus is still oddly finicky, but nothing alarming.
This is when I start second guessing myself.... LMP has me at 37w tomorrow...my O est has me at 36w tomorrow. What if I am wrong?! Lol

Good job Mama! Way to calm yourself down and problem solve for stress relief. I think it makes total sense that your bowel habits and issues might be irritating your uterus and spurring on contractions...isn't the the same idea behind taking castor oil to kick labor off?

AH, never thought of that, but great angle!

Man, I feel like I have been hit by a Mack truck. My back just won't stop aching, shooting pains in places I have never had them. While I don't think baby is jumping out right now, I suddenly feel like my body is doing some serious work.

Good thing a made a big devil's food cream cake, just in case.
