Had my nuchal scan today. My ob told me they'd only discuss preliminary results with me if the scan showed a > 2% chance of having these health issues. The tech told me that was not the case and my measurements were within the normal range- yay!
: So I opted to only have the first bloodtest and the scan today (I'm not that concerned that I feel I need to have the 16 week blood test as well).
I also asked if she could tell the sex and she said they're (meaning their office) is usually wrong, so they don't tell unless it's a fairly obvious boy. She was scanning the legs and said "No, I don't see anything obvious there yet" and then she said "Oops, hold on, I've changed my mind, there's something right there". So, while I'm not running out to buy blue, it looks pretty likely that this LO is a boy. We'll know for sure at the 20 week scan.
It was so nice to see a baby squirming all around with two legs, two arms, a bum, a stomach, a bladder. What a relief. HB was 164. We're now officially announcing the news!
Hoping all the other ladies having their tests this week have good news too!
