I had my u/s today. Had one with my first, but not with my 2nd. We'd never found out the sex before but my husband really wanted to know this time. Looks like we're having a girl (we've got 2 boys now). Harder to tell with girls for sure, but the tech was pretty positive. Now I'm not sure what to do. We'd always tried to buy gender neutral stuff, but as soon as we had boys we got blue. Blue everything. Blue from everyone. So now almost all our nb, 3 and 6 months stuff is baby blue. Since you never can be sure it's a girl I'm not sure whether I should get some different stuff or not. I mean, I'm not into the boys = blue, girls = pink but I don't think I could dress a girl in a baby blue "Thank heaven for little boys" one piece. And yes, we have one
Ah, gender expectations . . . aren't they grand?

Does anyone know when they should be settled into place? (head down, butt up, etc) She (I guess) is transverse. At least she was the entire u/s, which took about 30 minutes.

They also adjusted my due date by a almost a week
I know they aren't always right and I have more like a due month. But I was pretty on time for the first two. I couldn't remember my LMP (had about a week but not a specific day) for this one so the adjustment is to a guessed due date. I'm just bummed because I'm now due on my son's 2nd birthday. It'll be hard enough having a baby to deal with and being the middle child - now he may have to share his birthday. Oh well . . . can't do much about it now.

With dd i never bought any "girlie" things, I hate pink so that was out. I did buy lots of light purple stuff. It's weird, now that I know we are having a boy, I've been getting blue stuff. I don't like dark colors so he will probably be dressed in neutral stuff as well.

Congrats!

If it were me I'd probably go out and buy a bunch of girlie stuff!
Well I'm pretty safe from that. I'm not much of a girlie girl myself, although I'd love some more purple, green and yellow instead of all the blue. Besides we live 100 miles from the nearest shopping (unless you count walmart) and I'm broke.
: Although I do know what you mean. You instantly start thinking of all the things you "need" and pictures start dancing in your head. If they were just sure, but with girls I guess you only have about 75% accuracy.

Anyone know when they should settle into place? You'd think I'd remember all this stuff from one pregnancy to the next but my brain is currently filled with the names of dinosaurs
