I decided to dye all my dds prefolds. they have been in use for over 3 years, so it was time. After 3 years you cant really help but have SOME stains. WOW they are so pretty. I stacked them all nicely on the table and when hubby came home he said WOW those look great. Made my day!! then we tie dyes a bunch of shirts( with a 3 and a 4 yo a true adventure) And now miss emma has matching shirts and dipes!!! YAY how cute is that. I will HAVE to take a pic of all the fusia, torquiose, and royal blue dipes. I have some more plain dipes and I am thinking purple LOL

Thought id share!!

I have some 3-year-old prefolds too that are starting to look a little ratty. Before throwing them in the rag bin, I thought about doing something to make them interesting. Dyeing them seems like a good option. What dyes did you use? I think I've seen the special colorfast dyes at walmart in the craft section. Did you use those, or would RIT be okay (considering they are old prefolds anyway, and not worried about longterm?). I am mainly concerned about letting them bleed all over my other dipes (especially since I'm getting lots of NEW ones!)
