DS usually has predictable poop times so I can get him in an HH but today he decided to let it out in a prefold. Ugh. He had peas last night too!! So for the first time, I had to dunk a diaper. It wouldn't come off either - had to flush it and hold on for dear life. I was serious near :puke so I didn't even wring it out. So now I have a nasty wet toilet water diaper sitting in my bathroom.

I'm thinking I'm going to get one of those sprayers. Do I need to wring it out still you think? I mean, it would be a little better than poopy toilet bowl water but still gross.

TIA!

I strap on the rubber gloves and go to work on those poopy diapers. Ds is still on bm only so the poops are in the peanut butter stage which take about 5 flushes before they're passably rinsed then into the pail they go. All this talk about mini-showers has me interested but rubber gloves does the trick for now.

ewww!!! I feel your pain!

I made my own sprayer thing rather than pay a fortune for one. I bought one of those shower things with a hose that pushes on the taps, took it to bits and reassembled it so it fixed on only one tap, and when I have a poopy sticky one, I just pop this thing on the tap (luckily our wash basin taps are close to the loo) and spray into the toilet. Easy as, and cost $12 (about US$6). I couldn't do with out spraying now, and never wring afterwards. Just place it on the upturned pail lid that I carry it in on and flip it in the pail.

I fully say get a spray system!

Sure thing solsticemama You don't mind paying the airfare eh?

(edited because although I can improvise a mini shower with the best of them, spelling is quite beyond me!)

Ugh. Yesterday must have been the day for wringing out poopy diapers for the first time.

My baby girl usually goes poopy first thing in the morning, when she's still in a sposie.

Yesterday she decided to go later in the day while she was wearing a doubler inside a cpf. Of course the day before she'd eaten more solid food than she'd ever eaten before! Needless to say, that diaper was stinky. I briefly contemplated just throwing the whole thing away (My mini shower doesn't arrive until today!), but realized that wringing out poopy diapers is a part of cd'ing and I'd better get to it. Plus, I just can't be throwing away cloth diapers, right?

I donned rubber gloves, pulled the poopy diaper pail (which had never been used) to my toilet and stuck the doubler in the toilet water. BIG Surprise! The bowl of our toilet only fills up to a certain level with water and ladies, it ain't much water. So I flushed the potty and rubbed and twisted my little heart out. There was only a little bit of poop on the cpf, but I went ahead and stuck that in the clean bowl. I think it about sucked all the water out of the toilet bowl, so I had to flush again to get enough water to rub and wring it out. Then into the poopy pail they both went.

WHEW! As I said earlier, my mini shower should be here today and my Dh should install it by tonight. I definitely want to avoid, as much as possible, the diaper wringing fun I had yesterday.

All that to say...I share your pain...LOL!
