This is my favorite time of year. I'm in the southern tier of New York state, and in my opinion, it's one of the most beautiful places in the country.

I love the crisp air, the wind, and the hills blazing with color against the blue sky.

Any kindred spirits out there who are celebrating autumn?

Oh, I know, Unreal!!! I feel so much........healthier or something. I don't know. It *IS* easier to breathe it the fall.

So far, my 2-year-old and I have gone apple picking and autumn raspberry picking. I took my digital camera & got lots of beautiful pictures of him in the orchard and raspberry patch. He's a great little picker, too. The apple trees in the U-pick orchards are actually just his size. He can totally pick the apples himself! Very cute.

In October we'll start doing some pumpkin picking. I'm hoping to paint a bunch of pumpkins with him this year to give to the grandparents and great-grandparents.

Hey - does anybody know of any links to find out what the peak season *for leaves* is this year for our region & the specific counties & such?

(edited to add "for leaves" so you'd know what the heck i was talking about)
