Definitely HHs. Very few quality issues, not constantly changing styles, cute prints, easier to use, no repelling fleece, and business practices that don't make me gag.

I have both and do not have a preference.

The HH seem to run a bit bigger than the FB, but both work just fine The only pocket dipe that I have that I have no love for is a BugEBoo. I love the micro fleece on the inside, the print is really cute but the fit was HORRID!

Yeah, that!

I do like the FB for night just because it has a slightly wider crotch area, but HH work great at night too.

I didn't vote because I like each diaper for different things. FB hands down for night time use. They never leak. HH are too cute and I use them during the daytime, going out etc. The HH wick at the top of my sons diapers even if they are stuffed the same as the FB if they are on longer than a couple of hours.

I'd have to say I prefer the FB, although they certainly aren't as cute as the HH. I've never had a problem with my FB in the 6 months I've been using them. They are the best nighttime diaper I've got, and all I use at night, stuffed with a hemp prefold.

And, sadly, my cute HH have some quality problems. The aplix is unraveling and coming off the diaper and I've had to resew it back on to 3 of my 5 HH. Also, they can wick if they are on for more than a couple hours. I'd love to buy more becuase they fit great and are nice and trim (did I mention that they are cute too?). But, because the quality isn't what I think it should be I won't be buying any more.

Any one have a good pattern for a all fleece pocket diaper, or know where I could buy one already made?

I picked Fb's but only as they are the only pocket diaper I've ever tried. The ones that work for me, work well (The ones that didn't were a waste of money -since this is what I use for nighttime, wicks/leaks are a non-negotiable issue for me). I think the HH's have a better cut that would suit my youngest though.

I voted for Fuzzi Bunz. These were my very first cloth diaper ever, and I LOVE them. I've only used the 2003 pointed-tab style, and I've never had any problem with quality, recalls, etc... The FB's used to be a little tight in the thigh, but they seem to have expanded the fit a little bit, so that helps. They are sooooo soft and absorbent, and easy. The only time they have leaked was at night, when I forgot to put in a doubler. The only thing that works at night on DS is a FB w/ their hemp fleece liner and a terry doubler.

I do like the HH's, the prints are adorable, but for the price I'd rather buy a FB! The PUL is crinkly, and the fleece isn't very thick. The elastic is weird, and the rise is too high to fit under clothes. They seem to wick quicker than a FB, also. DH likes velcro better than snaps, but he even prefers the FB's to HH's. There is nothing really "wrong" with a HH, I just prefer the FB's...

Christine,

One of the good things about the HHs is that Linda is very responsive to problems. If your velcro is coming off, PM her and she will help you. (Her user name here is detergentdiva.)

HH by a huge margin.

I've had 3 FB's and while each one was the "new 2003" style in a medium, two had different fleece than the third (third has such thin awful scratchy fleece that it's like rice paper and doesn't do much at all to control dampness), every single one of the three fits differently with different leg and waist measurements (only the one with the awful fleece still fits), the snaps on the one that still fits come undone if I look at it for too long, and on the one that still fits, the top front gaps open so much when the legs are fitted correctly that he can only wear it during nighttime (not to mention the thing would come off every 5 seconds because the snaps won't stay closed when he's crawling around).

While I've had to deal with a few HH issues (repelling fleece because of our hard water - it's so much thicker than the FB fleece) and wicking around the velcro if it's on for too long, the fit and quality of HH's are *so* much better than FB's.

Yep, I'd contact her.
I like FB's for night because I can stuff them fuller, easier, because of the wide crotch, but I prefer HH all the rest of the time for all the reasons people have already mentioned.
I think a lot of people who say they don't like them have had ones with cotton outters (stiff and wick sometimes) or ones with fleece that is more easily prone to build up. I will only buy her newest ones and solids because of this and they work as well as my FB's and are made better to boot.

vein:
that snap issue you are having is something that you should have them replaced for. They should not do that. I bet if you contacted MOE, they'd replace it for you.
I have the front gaping thing too if I don't us tighter snap settings on top. You can use tighter waist settings than thigh settings, yk? It seems kinda skewed that way, but it fits better.

i voted FB'only bc i prefer snaps. i am not thrilled with certain other aspects of the diaper, such as repelling fleece, plain white dipe, and mass production.
if HH came out with a snap dipe, i would certainly try it (hint hint ) and possibly sell off all my FB's to get more.
is there any other pocket dipes out there that have snaps? i havent seen any.

Gator Babies makes the cutest fleece pockets, with snaps! You can usually find some on Family Auction. They're not the most absorbent on my heavy wetting formula-fed foster DD, but they work fine w/ my B-fed DS, with a hemp insert (sold separately).

Looks like it's about 50 / 50. I'm going to try HH first, I think, only because I was told they are better for a bigger baby (dd is rather rotund). One of you said something about fleece repelling problems with hardwater. Thanks for saying that - that may explain why my goodnight kisses are leaking at night (another thread I posted today). I have very hard water here. Better get more calgon!!!

Thanks everyone!!
