When my daughter was first born, the two HHs I had were way too big, so I thought, Ok, I just have to wait until she's a little bigger. Now she's almost 7 weeks and weighs (I'm estimating) 9-10 lbs. (withing the 8-16 lb. range for smalls) and STILL, they're too big. I can't close the Aplix as tight as I would like (I can make it work) and we've had leaking almost every time I put one on her. (Once she pooped out the side onto her dad's shirt. Glad it was him and not me.) Fuzzi Bunz seem to work better because of the snap closure (gets tighter around the legs) and I have been using it at night with no leaks.

Will they fit better when she gets bigger or this just an example of an imperfect fit for my baby's body type? This is my first and I don't have a lot of babies to compare her to, but she seems to have fairly slim thighs.

Well, I didn't use cloth with ds as a baby, but he is verrrry skinny as a toddler, and we use Happy Heiney's with no problems. He's almost 2.5 and wears a medium on the tightest setting, so it's very possible that they just run too big for skinny baby thighs.
