I got my first Happy Heiny in the mail the other day. DD wet through it... it wicked to the edge of the leg holes and around to the cover and of course her clothes.... anyone else have this problem and is it fixable? It's such a cute diaper, but I don't want any leakers.

I always had that problem with HH as well. That's why we don't use them anymore. They are cute though! I've heard that the patterns wick worse than the plain, but I didn't want the plain ones!!!

Did you wash and dry it in the dryer on high heat? The PUL needs to seal. Maybe, or what were you stuffing it with? It is new, right?

I too am curious if you washed then dried on high heat to seal, and what do ya have stuffed in that baby? We have lots of HH's and don't ever really have a prob...there is also a waterproofing spray you can try, I'm sure someone can give you that info.

Sounds like you might need to stuff them a bit better. Sometimes if you just stuff with hemp they don't absorb fast enough. Try adding an infant prefold or a cotton doubler.

You probably also need to try to stuff to the edges of the diaper at the crotch area. I found if the crotch area is not stuffed properly, the wee goes through the fleece pocket, and since there's nothing to absorb it, it runs out to the PUL outer very quickly and makes it wet.
