I got a Harleyz pocket dipe in the mail yesterday from the TP and tried it out for the first time today.

Initially, I thought that maybe I'd gotten mixed up about the size, because the diaper looked tiny and my DS is 32 lbs! :LOL

But no worries, the diaper fits wonderfully - what a cute trim diaper! Even though I swore off velcro, I might have to look out for some more Harleyz.

I can see why people highly recommend these!

Hey, if you have sworn off velcro, check out the harlezy side-snap pockets. I got one new and I LOVE it! And still so trim. I have a M/L and it looks tiny, yet fits my 18 pounder with tons of room to spare. He looks like he is wearing a cute sposie it is so trim.

yeah, they are so trim and work really well. I really like ours, but have hesitated to buy more because i don't like the placement of the flap for inserting the inserts. With the flap in the front you have to get your hands in the pee to take out the insert, I wish it was in the back which most often stays bone dry. Maybe it's different if you have a girl though...

These are my all time faves!

DH loves the aplix closures, I sorta prefer the snaps and figure we will get more use out of snaps because Araya will be able to take of velcro before the snaps, but if it means that dh will actually change diapers that are cloth, then I guess I can give in!

Yeah, that's a good point. That's a bummer. What I didn't like about the front flap is that when I put the insert in, it leaves a space near the top of the diaper that doesn't have any protection (the part above the flap). Since I have a boy, I worry that would cause problems.

I just pull the insert up from the outside so that it fills the front, if you know what i mean. but I use misc hemp trifolds as stuffers, and they're big enough to fill the entire space.

My inserts fit just fine..hmmm. No gapping at the front. But my ds is little yet. I actually like the flap in the front b/c I use these with our sitter and with other fleece pockets she didn't always realize ds was wet until he was soaking b/c of the fleece. With the flap in the front she always knows. I love my Harleyz!

I just tried a Harleyz too but totally prefer the SwaddleBees. I don't like the front opening on the Harleyz (too hard to stuff for my *Seinfeld Man Hands*!!!)
Both dipes are very trim which I love and yes they are totally the speedo diaper, lol!

for the stuffing, oh man, this will be hard to describe, but...
just take the tip of the insert between two fingers, slide it all the way in, and grab it from the outside with your whole hand, make it flat, and give that harleyz a big streeetch. it will lie flat inside and you're done.

I love the trim fit, but does anyone else find that Harleyz are a "one-pee-only-diaper" ... not a big deal as I like to change at every pee anyway, but when we are going out, I can't use them because they wick or leak and can't hold more than one pee. And I even double up another stuffer in the front where my boy pees most.

They are nice and trim and fit like underwear, but my 2 1/2 year old pees right though them!

I agree. Although the fit is great, I am not fond of the front pocket. Plus you need 2 of their inserts in order for it to not leak.

I hear ya, mama! Same with my little guy - maybe it's a boy problem? I always have to double up on the insert, no matter what. I even tried the combo insert (b/c I heard the microterry catches pee faster and draws it in to prevent wicking) to no avail. Despite, all that, I still love, love, love it and just change often...

My boy definitely doesn't wick in harleyz that easily, but we don't use the harleyz inserts. I use 3 single-layer hemp inserts that a wahm mom made for me (biskitsmom on ebay) and they are perfect. Sometimes, I fold one into a square (two folds) and place it right in the pee zone.
