hi mamas. just wondering if anyone else has felt this too and its not just me.

with our first child i knew i was P before any at home tests would tell us. i mean i even think i know exactly when we concived. that night everthing just felt different. i also had a very strong feeling that we were going to have a girl way before the sono. and i was right.

then with our second child it was the same thing. i knew i was P but tried to push it outta my mind. and i knew we were having a boy. (i never told my hubby until after the sono that i had a feeling cause i didnt want to get his hopes up. )

just wondering if any of you other mamas out there understand or can relate to what i am saying?

there is more to this story but not going into detail until later.

With my first pregnancy I remember thinking after the baby dance - "I think that was it!" We'd been trying for almost 2 years so didn't have particularly high expectations and I wasn't charting or anything.

Wtih pregnancy #2 (I am pregnant now) I wasn't sure - I guess mostly because I thought it would take a long time since last time it took a long time, but this time I got pregnant the first month we tried. So I suspected and took the pregnancy test early, but I didn't feel the same level of certainty that I did the first time around.

I know exactly when, where, and in what position I was in when each child was conceived.

#1, #2, and #4, middle of the day, #3 at night
#1, #3, and #4, missionary. #2, other.

#1, it was a Monday. #2, it was a Sunday. #3, it was a Friday, #4 it was a Saturday.

Right before conception of #2, #3, and #4, I told the guy that if we didn't use protection, I was going to end up pregnant. I knew BEFORE conception that I was going to conceive. And so far, with #2, and #3, I even knew the gender of the child to be before conception.

#2 was planned, and I pushed that feeling of knowing I was pregnant because I didn't want to get my hopes up. With #3 and #4, I was hoping I wasn't pregnant, so I fought that feeling of being pregnant.

Yes I was exactly the same with both pregnancies... I ignored both of them for awhile after I felt pregnant, and I remember thinking I really shouldnt be having sex, because I just know I am gonna get pregnant this time... people look at me strange when I tell them I knew I was pregnant less than a week after sperm met egg!

Yes, out of four pregnancies, this did happen to me once.

We were out of town for several days and made love one time...the next day, in the mall, I suddenly got woozy, and I *knew* I'd just conceived. I had to go sit down because of such powerful emotions.

I also knew it was a girl. I followed up with a pregnancy test at the earliest possible...and it was positive.

I ended up miscarrying at 13.5 weeks. I'm baffled as to why I had such a strong experience with this daughter, but not with my two kids? Perhaps she wanted to make her mark since it would be such a short time.
