Here's the deal. I have this cool idea for a silver pendent. DH works in 3D animation, so he can mock it up for me in the same software the jewelry trade uses. But I need to get it made (or at least find out if it's even financially feasible to do this), and have no idea how. I've tried Google searching, but am not having much luck. Does anyone have any ideas on what I should do next? How the heck do I find a jewelry manufacturer??

Thanks,
You may want to try to make a sample to see how it looks in real life before locating a manufacturer. I hand-make my jewelry, so I don't have advice on how to find a manufacturer. But you may be able to find someone at your local lapidary and/ or metal smithing school. They can probably make a sample first to see how it looks "on".

Good luck,
Hey mama...

You can check out http://www.thomasregister.com . You will be able to find jewelry manufacturers there.

Some manufacturers can even work with you to come up with a prototype from your descriptions. It is probably most beneficial to find a manufacturer close in proximity to save you $$ while you are doing your product development.

Do know that many of the manufacturers mentioned here require a hefty minimum order, and because you want something manufactured, you should have your pattern copyrighted etc...

Another option is that you can subcontract your work to someone local...but there is also a whole set of paperwork and laws attached to that...

HTH some!
