Just wondering if anyone has ordered the freezer meal menu/recipes from SavingDinner.com? I have some PP money that I was considering using on a recipe pack. I'm just burnt out with meal planning and grocery budgeting lately and so I figured since my PP money has really nothing to do with my bank account (all from stuff I've sold), I wouldn't feel like I was "spending" by purchasing it. But anyway, I have some questions for anyone who's ordered from them....

Do you find that they save you money, overall? Also, are the variations (she says they include them) enough that you can make the same thing a few times and not feel like you're really repeating a meal?

I haven't use the freezer meals but I have used saving dinner before. This was way back even before they offered the freezer meals. I liked the meals and the menus even had me trying new things I wouldn't have made on my own. It's great if you're burned out on meal planning. The only thing is, I had to go through the menu and shopping list and scratch off things I didn't want to buy, like the optional foods for variations will be on the grociery list so if I don't want those I had to scratch it off before I went shopping. Also if you want to save a little time and money by not using every single spice and herb they have listed, you need to scratch those off too. But overall I loved using them and they are easy to use and we liked the meals a lot. (I don't use them any more because DH does the cooking and he's sort of set on making just a few different things over and over.) As for saving money, I can do cheaper by myself but it takes A LOT of planning - with saving dinner I can still stay within a reasonable budget and it saves A LOT of time on planning.

That's kind of why I'm looking at it, too...with DHs schedule I can't really continue doing my regular ol' meal planning anymore, and I'd like something like this...and her freezer meal preassembly is so simple looking!
