My ped recommended Mannatech Ambrotose which is 8 simple sugars. She said some of the parent's who have children with Autism find their children are helped by this supplement. I bought a jar and I couldn't determine if it helped or not. (Speech is what we're aiming for with regards to my son. With his apraxia nothing may help however we are trying.)

I was reading about cell salts and wondered if it might help my son? We've tried vitamin therapy and fish oils with no response. I was wondering if anyone had tried the cell salts?

http://www.drugstore.com/products/pr...627&catid=9807

The only supplement I can tell seems to work is prescription Carnitor (we get generic Levocarn). It does give him energy as his hypotonia is very evident without it. I worry however because long term use may cause seizures. He's been on it since last May.

All thoughts welcome.
