hi mamas,
i just registered here, partly because i need to know if anybody can help me place some donations. my mama and i made four tote bags full of mama.baby necessities, like diapers (disposable, sorry) and wipes, butt balm, wash cloths, soap, antibiotic ointment, etc. for evacuees and we have nowhere that wants them. we also have a bunch of small, sample type hygeine products and a pretty big bag of energy bars. i know that these are mainstream products, but i thought maybe one of you local women might know of a place that would accept these items.

Maybe a battered women's shelter would want them - a lot of times women have to leave with their children without taking anything with them.

YES. I also know that the local LLL are accepting donations for all those displaced by Katrina.

I know the Advocacy and Pregnancy Center here takes them. I drop off stuff all the time and they are a GREAT charity.
