...because you got tired of waiting for the store to stock? I don't mean the you-know-who-friday-frenzy-style, but the just didn't stock and didn't stock and didn't stock? I have some I just loved, I lucked out upon a couple of stockings, picked up on on the TP and another on eBay so I have 4 of them, then waited, waited, waited, and now I'm just like 'eh...I don't know if I want more." :

Just wondering if I'm going nuts here. I don't really get it, I like them, but I'm just not feeling the buying-love anymore.

(note: not knocking a wahm for putting the 'ahm' first)

I don't know if I'm thinking of the same WAHM you are, but I'm guilty of waiting by the puter all day waiting for the announcement that the store is stocked and still missing out. I used to love those dipes but the lengths you have to go to to get them has just turned me off and I doubt I will ever buy from her again even if her dipes ever become more readily available.

Yeah, I did a while ago and the response was in a month or so (I can't recall, she was more specific than that), so I waited and waited and after a week or two of checking ask her again and some stuff had come up and it was going to be another month...and then who knows...probably just more 'ahm' stuff, kwim?

I think daisydoodles gets what I mean. It's not that I have anything against this wahm, it's just that my 'passion' for the dipes have passed since I couldn't buy them, I think...

Yep I know what you mean...there have been a few stores where I will definately like the looks/materials/prints of a dipe, but nothing is stocked...and nothing is stocked...and I join the egroup or yahoo group...and the silence is deafening..

I've never bothered mailing the wahm cuz I didn't want to feel like "a bother", and feel silly taht if nothing was happening, then I would look like the moron who coudlnt' figure it out. Does that make sense? LOL

Most of the stuff I like I can get- but I did change my mind about a diaper product because of customer service. It wasn't entirely customer service, but it didn't help my opinion.

I would get tired of waiting and move on if there just wasn't any available.

Yep, I know what you mean. I'm not sure if it is the same WAHM or not, but I know one like that. I no longer want/need any dipes made by her. Too tired of the wait.

Same same same. There are a couple places I'm just over. They've gotten to be way too much trouble and stress to get anything from.

ETA I think I know who Monica is talking about, we shared a similar experience. Not worth the stress.

I had a similar experience. I got some rare dipes off Ebay and was so excited, joined the yahoo group, etc. Then, after using them a month or so realized that I didn't think the dipe was that great. I think I had just thought they would be great since everyone wanted them!

I think that some WAHMs maintain an obsessive cultish following *because* they rarely stock. And they get to charge more too. And there are other WAHMs with GREAT products that aren't as coveted because they're easier to get, KWIM?

What do you think?
