I am wondering how many people have received ARRANGED bouquets...not just the bunches that you have to find a vase for.

If you have received a bouquet was it just because or for a specific event?

I've gotten several arrangements. One time my dh(was my boyfriend at the time) was in the "doghouse". When I got back my lunch break at work, he had sent me two dozen roses in separate vases with balloons.

I've gotten other arrangement over the years.

I haven't. When I get flowers, they're just wrapped in florist paper. Once I got them in the clear glass vase that came free with a couple dozen roses. Does that count?

If I were to get something like this, I would be really, really mad. If someone wants to spend 250 on me, make it something that won't die in a week.

I have received arranged (delivered in a vase with a bow and all) bouquets quite a few times for various reasons.

I had a very romantic boyfriend for two years, actually THE PERFECT BOYFRIEND (but NOT marriage material), and he sent me flowers many times. My favorite was the first Christmas we knew each other. He was away and I had to work. We both lived in San Diego, but were meeting in Tahoe for a few days around New Year's. He already (in about two months) knew my favorite flowers were white roses. He sent me a dozen white roses and the message read, "Wishing you a white Christmas!" Totally unexpected and romantic and I loved them!

My DH is fairly romantic, as well, and definitely IS marriage material! My favorite flowers received from him were the very first ones he sent me. We met on a singles cruise on a Thursday night. It was love at first sight. Seriously. I went out of town the next morning to visit my sister for a long weekend. The following weekend, DH and I had our first date on Friday night (planned) and unexpectedly had FOUR dates that weekend. We pretty much met all the important people in our lives at that point who lived in this area. He sent me a dozen red roses to my office on Monday thanking me for a wonderful weekend. Of course that got misinterpreted by others! I, however, knew exactly what he meant. It WAS a wonderful weekend and the beginning of a wonderful relationship.

I think I've always gotten flowers, pretty much from every guy I've dated. My husband has only stopped sending them because in the last two years or so, having cut flowers in the house sends me into an allergy tailspin.

I've gotten some really beatuiful arrangements. Calyx and Carolla (I think they're just Calyx Flowers now) has really great quality flowers that last for at least a couple of weeks. Unfortunately, they come in a box with every stem in a little water bulb thingy so you have to arrange them yourself. This is not my talent but the flowers are usually so beautiful it doesn't matter. They also have several that come in pretty nice vases and not just the green or clear glass vases you often get. They even do starter rose bushes and things like that. They have an oversized mint julep cup that I LOVE.

My husband is very much a "romantic gesture" kind of guy.

Several times a year. Usually for an occasion (birthday, new baby, etc.) but sometimes just because.

Dh is a computer programmer and did a flower shop website for a friends brother. Now he gives me flowers a lot. He even sent our dd a bouquet for her 5th birthday (he had to leave town for business the morning she turned 5, we got the flowers when she came home from school.)

Dh tends to bring me flowers when he comes home on Friday nights (Shabbat). But those aren't arranged bouquets.

The fanciest bouquet I've ever received was from my mother. She had it delivered to me on my first Mother's Day when ds was just a few months old.

The first and most loved one was from dp. We had known each other (though not face to face) for over a year at that point and he'd finally made the drive to come meet me and take me out on a date Unfortunately I got a bit of a bug and lost my voice right before he got there. LOL! We spent the weekend together and when he went home he had flowers sent to me (and was sneaky about it having a mutual friend get my address from my oldest sister... lol). 3 years later we're still together and couldn't be happier. He's gotten me other flowers since then, but none as nice as that one (now he goes to Kroger and gets some... lol). I usually get some for Mothers Day (ds picks them out), sometimes V-day (not this year because I told him not to bother they were so darn expensive), and maybe 1-2 other times during the year (those are random "just because" flowers).

yes, DH gets me arranged flowers (mainly roses, but he's mixed it up at times) from florists who clearly took a lot of time arranging them just right - and they have came in new vases, which is kinda silly b/c we have plenty.

Other than that, I spent 3 weeks in the hospital with sepsis 2 yrs ago and had flowers delivered quite a few times. Some really pretty arrangements, especially when they were from a group of people (ie DH's work). I also got really nice flowers delivered for mother's day that year from two good friends b/c they were happy I was able to come home from the hospital right before that, as I had missed my babies sooo much.

I got some last week from DH. Nothing special other than he was out of town.

Sure, for lots of special occasions and sometimes for no reason. Not to sound horridly ungrateful, but I actually prefer just a bunch of flowers -- I don't need a zillion vases and I like the ones I already have better than the freebies that come with flowers.
