<p>A guy who I thought was a friend, I lent him my credit card. I know, stupid me, I really though I knew and trusted him. He told me he was just using it for gas and was gonna get it right back to me.</p>

<p>Yeah, right. a couple days later, I notice he put other charges on my credit card. I've thought about filing a police report on my so-called friend. Though, when I talked to one of the staff members, the person told me because I had given the card to a friend, I can't dispute the charges. I did close the account when I noticed it was being abused.</p>

I don't believe that the bank would reverse the charges and go after him... But I do believe that you can take him to small claims court. Start keeping accurate records of all the charges he made that you did not authorize. If you can proove your verbal agreement, and you can proove that he was the one who made those charges, then you should be awarded a settlement.<br><br><br><br>
I am sure that you would not be the only one in court who did something really stupid...<br><br><br><br>
What were the total damages? (btw, you should also pay off the bill as quickly as possible to mitigate the damages)
