My ds is going to be 4 yo in one month. He is very good at going pee in the toilet but just will not poop.

For the last 3 days, he's been Pull-Up (

: ) free and has told me he has to go poop but when I sit him on the toilet he just won't go.

Is this normal? Do I just wait it out or give him a diaper to poop in?

I know there have been tons of threads on potty learning but I need some reinforcement here. Anyone else have an almost 4 yo who isn't totally potty trained?

My DD is just a few months younger than your DS, and while she wears underwear all day long, still refuses to poop on the potty. I'm taking a laid-back approach and figure she'll do it when she's ready. The more I push her to do anything, the more she resists, so for us it's just a waiting game and I try really hard not to make a big deal of it.

Thanks! I guess it's best to just wait. He's doing well with peeing so we'll just be glad for that.

The last thing I want is for him to get all balled up over it.
