I've been reading about this treatment for cavities called Healozone, in which teeth are blasted with ozone gas in order to kill the bacteria causing decay. It is not yet approved for use in the US, but they have it in Canada and Britain. I have heard that it has been useful to some parents in slowing or stopping decay in toddlers.

Has anyone tried it?

Does anyone recommend a particular dentist (in Canada or the UK or elsewhere) who practices Healozone?

I have not tried it, but I am a member of a yahoo group called "veryyoungkidsteeth" and there is a dentist in Madison, WI that a few of the families have taken their children to for Healozone treatments. He is not a ped dentist, but has gotten rave reviews in the VYKT group on how great he is with young children. His name is Dr. Chris Kammer. His website is: http://www.thesmileexperts.com/

If you are not a member of VYKT in yahoo groups, it is a great group. My dd had dental surgery about a year ago, ECC is so traumatic. That group is a great resource.

Good Luck.
