Anyone have good recipes for a baby's first b-day cake/cupcake. Something that is wheat free, sugar free, no dairy or eggs, etc. Also, is it hard to make a dairy and sugar free frosting? What about making the frosting pink naturally?? I have no idea, so hopefully some of you can help!!

Not off hand, but you can find them pretty easily online doing a search for allergen-free baking or something similar. I bake a lot, and YES, it is hard to make a dairy-free, sugar-free frosting (that is anything like frosting anyway)... consider baking with agave syrup if you want to avoid refined sugar.
Oh, you could use beet juice to dye the frosting

How set are you on having an actual frosted cake? I've seen people make cake-like platters out of fruit ("layers" made out of watermelon and decorated with other fruits). I made cupcakes for everyone else at the party and a banana rice pudding for my daughter's birthday. Her pudding was just sweet rice, banana, and rice milk (maybe a little vanilla? I can't remember). I put a chunk of banana in the middle of her bowl of pudding to hold the candle. It was pretty tasty, actually!

Not crazy about the raisins, but I thought I would pass it on.

This is NOT dairy free or egg free, but it is sugar free. We made it for DS's birthday and then topped it with blueberry jam that was sweetened with apple juice. It was really really good.

http://www.wholefoodsmarket.com/reci...ruitsweet.html
