I am having a 20 week ultrasound in a few weeks to find out what I'm having. At my 13 week appointment, my baby's HR was 160 bpm. I went for another appointment yesterday, and it was 150 bpm. So, wise mamas, can you guess if I'm having a boy or girl???? I can't wait until my 20 wk ultrasound (which will be the last one I have, unless there are problems).<br><br>
All my firends say GIRL, but I'm thinking BOY.

I think the old wives tale goes that if the heartrate is over 150 it's a girl and under is a boy. I'll play and say boy, too <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/love.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="love">

My girl was consistently between 150 and 160.<br>
My boy was consistently between 140 and 150.<br><br>
So I say girl for you!

My DD was 160-180.<br><br>
This baby was 180 and then last time was 148, so who knows?<br><br>
We find out on March 26th! LOL

According to studies a heart rate of 150 is definitely a 17 week old baby. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol">

my baby has been in the 150-160 range this whole time. my mil has had dreams that we are having a girl (she has prophetic dreams...) and my midwife asked at my last appt if we are having a girl. i have an inkling that we are having a girl but won't commit to it one way or the other. will you post after your u/s what they determine the gender is? i know it won't tell me if we are having a boy or a girl, but we're probably not going to have an u/s unless medically indicated this time and it's going to be a long wait it seems. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/lol.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="lol">

I don't know. My DD's hb would not be consistant w/ the old wives tale...her's was 130-140. This baby's was 156 at 16w so who knows for me <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile">
