if you want to heat your water. you run your water pipes through the compost bin...of course closed pipes, and the heat from the compost warms them up. i guess for heating he was referring to radiant floor heating?

In my sustainable living class today the speaker was talking about alternative energy and was saying that you can pipe heat from a compost pile into a greenhouse. anyone have experience with this or know how it would be done? thanks so much
