My 3 mo old just burned her fingers on a skillet @ Chillis. My book says take her to the ER. I really don't want to. Help any ideas?

Depends on what degree the burn is.

I don't know...there are blisters.

Blister is at least a second degree burn which, IMO, at least warrants an after-hours phone call to the ped or the nurses hotline.

I agree consult a professonal, because your baby is so young. Even slight burns can be get really infected really quick. Dont put anything on it not even water, until you talk to a doc. Finger burns usually are ok, but I am not sure with babies especially ones that young. They usually go by percentage and severity of burns on the treatment.<br>
This is something we learn the hard way on one of my foster girls who had a quarter sized burn on her leg that we only treated with burn spray and water. They told us afterwards that it cooks the burn in further. She ended up getting skin graphs, and almost lost her leg over it. We didnt think that it that bad and only let it go for one day.
