Now how do I get her to sleep? I've heard of some bed but it is really expensive. I don't know that my DH would support spending that amount of money or if we could come up with it. But what are our other options. Eliana cannot sleep flat, she regurgitates horribly. She has vomitting as well as silent reflux where she just gags it up and swallows it. She has to sleep on an incline and the Amby has been working great. Size-wise the Amby is still just fine as she is 6.5 months old and about 19 lbs. The problem is she rolls onto her stomach in it and then gets stuck. Her face is smushed right down in and she can't get out. I kept flipping her, I tried positioners, nothing was really working. I was still hesitant to stop using the Amby but now she rolls onto her stomach and hooks her arm under the mattresses and pushes with her feet and I have now twice found her caught UNDER the upper part of the Amby mattress with her face pressed into the bottom. Obviously this has become a safety hazard. Do you think I should invest in one of the expensive beds? DH seems to be convinced she will just grow out of it really soon so we should wait. I don't really think she will as it is still bothering her even on the Zantac now. Help!

My dd had to sleep in a tucker sling/wedge combo for a few months until she started sitting up better during the day. We coslept so I never had an Amby but I did look into them when I didn't think cosleeping would work out (thankfully it did) I just put the wedge in the bed with me. The "sling" part of it goes up a few different sizes so it would hold her for a while.

I will caution you... the one thing I *hated* about the sling was that it VELCROS!!!
: Every time dd woke up at night (and this was often) I'd have to take her out of the sling to nurse, and that darn velcro sound would just startle her so badly in the middle of the night. It was actually part of the reason I really only kept her in the thing when it was necessary. If your kiddo doesn't wake up often during the night, then maybe you wouldn't have the same problem. But that velcro just drove me crazy. FWIW, there is another type of incline wedge, I can't think of the name of it, that doesn't have the velcro. I was lucky and our insurance paid for the wedge and sling for us because our doctor wrote a prescription for it and said it was medically necessary due to her reflux, but I think it was close to 200 bucks... maybe less I"m not sure. I'd definitely go the ebay route if you could.. we lost ours in hurricane Wilma or I'd offer it. Even sleeping in it every night for over 4 months, it didn't get much wear and tear at all.
