My Mom was just visiting from out of state and had extreme back pain. Turns out she has a herniated disc. She is back home but had to walk with a walker today to get around the house--it is just awful. She is seeking traditional medical treatment but getting the runaround (they xrayed her today but won't see her again until Tues). Meanwhile she is on steroids and Vicodan, which nauseates her.

I am trying to convince her to ditch the docs and seek chiropractic care. Can someone let me know how a chiro would treat this problem? I have only been twice to a chiro, for pregnancy related issues, so I don't know what to tell her.
