After 5 girls, our friends are finally pregnant with a boy! However, they're very mainstream and I'm sure they haven't given circ a second thought.

Do any of you have any advice/info/articles on how to present the facts about circumcision in a non-threatening manner? Maybe just a little something to make them think twice and look into the issue further.

In my heart, I don't think any effort I make will work with these friends, but their baby boy is worth it even if the chance is small so I have to try to enlighten them.

I appreciate any advice/experiences you have to offer! Thanks!

Online, my absolute fave is the page linked in my signature. Hard copy, I like the pamphlets from www.nocirc.org as well as the Fleiss articles you can get from Mothering in the back issues section.

Well, you probably have already found all you need, but in these hard-to-reach cases, I usually just give a copy of the Fleiss article. I feel like if I can only get them to read one thing, then that would be the best and most comprehensive.

If you know them very well, you might find other things that they can relate to, such as if they're Catholic, then perhaps it might help for them to know that many Catholic writings prohibit circumcision, and give them a copy of the brochure from www.catholicsagainstcircumcision.org.

If they're Protestant, then maybe something from Acts 15 organization.

Good luck - you'll feel better knowing that you tried.
