Because of a number of circumstances (pumping way over what my DS needs for mos, vomiting all the time pregnancy, stress of baby w/medical issues) it seems I'm anemic. I think it's pretty reliable, not just medical freak-outy-ness - under my eyelids are pale, I bruise SO easily, etc.

SO - how can I get more iron? I know it's notorioulsly hard to absorb. I take a good, food based multi vitamin, eat of of an iron skillet. And I'm working on downregulating my milk supply.

I am basically an omnivore at this point - I'll take any suggestions.

I had a uterine hemmorage and ate more beef after that. (I CRAVED it immensly, so I just went with it) I also cook in cast iron. My dr did have me on iron supplements for about a month after the hemmorage...I am getting my iron levels checked tomorrow so I will see ho well that al worked.
