I have a huge pimple on the tip of my nose, and I don't know how to describe it, but it's "down inside" the skin, and so there's no head, or even anything to pick at or poke at to relieve the gawd-awful pressure. It's been growing for several days, and today it's to the point where it's giving me a headache! I just have to brush my fingers against it to cause exquisite pain! Owww!

I've tried warm compresses to try to bring it to a head but nothing. Any ideas? It's making me grouchy!

Put a peice of ice on it to reduce the swelling and the pain.

Then dab straight/undiluted tea tree oil on it with a clean finger. You can find tea tree oil these days at any drug store or even Walmart in the antiseptic aisle.

If you have time and want to dry it out, you can put a little paste of baking soda and water and pack it on the pimple (assuming you're at home and don't have company over!). Once the baking soda dries and looks like hardened plaster, you can wash it off and put more tea tree oil on it.

The tea tree oil helps a lot of different kind of pimples, from regular acne to the hurting weird under the skin ones that you're describing (I get those near my nose and ears too for some dumb reason and they hurt like a *CENSORED* !)

Hope this helps and that your lil nose feels better.

My boyfriend had one of those a while back and he was so irritated and didn't know what the heck I was doing to him to help him and he kept getting bitchy with me. Once I finished with everything (ice, baking soda, and then the tea tree oil), he calmed down and felt better. Funny how a little pimple can affect your mood, huh?

Thanks! I'm off to the freezer for ice! I already have TTO - sometimes I use it for the dipes.

Thanks so much for the tip!

Toothpaste is supposed to dry them up too. It has never worked for me. What has worked is Rimmel concealer. It comes in a lipstick type tube. It works to dry them up within 12 hours.
