I finally got it down to two choices:<br><br>
untreated(unbleached) CPFs from Natural E Baby <a href="http://www.naturalebaby.com/Chinese_Prefolds.htm" target="_blank">http://www.naturalebaby.com/Chinese_Prefolds.htm</a><br><br>
OR<br><br>
white CPFs whitened with hydrogen peroxide (not chlorine) from Green Mountain Diapers<br><a href="http://www.greenmountaindiapers.com/diapers.htm" target="_blank">http://www.greenmountaindiapers.com/diapers.htm</a><br><br>
I would much rather get organic prefolds, but $90 + a dozen <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="/img/vbsmilies/smilies/dizzy.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Dizzy">: I need more, I go through about that many in a day, and the flats take me too much time to fold.<br><br>
I never used unbleached prefolds, so I don't know if the washing them to get the wax out is a pain.<br>
I'm leaning towards the white CPFs because they where whitened with peroxide, and because I have had good experiences with Grenn Mountain Diapers.

I personally LOVE unbleached pfs over bleached or even whitened ones....but I will say, if you get whitened ones, that's better than getting bleached ones and the ones from GMD are really nice and sturdy....but I think UB pfs are softer and I don't mind getting all the oils out.....I have found that boiling them works great.....it takes a while (but not longer than washing them 5-10 times) but it works great and once they are boiled, you can wash them on hot once and dry and they are ready.....and if you put a tiny dab of Dawn into your boil water, it helps with the oils too. I don't have to boil them quite as long if I add a tad of Dawn first.<br><br>
Anyway....I've never bought from that first site you listed so I can't comment on the quality of their pfs....but the GMD quality is great and the Rainbow shorts are really nice pfs with a great length for babies who are too wide for infant pfs but too short for premium ones. But most of the UB pfs I have are softer than my Rainbows from GMD (although I think my GMD ones are a tad more sturdy).....I got some IPF's (UB) from clothdiaper.com and they are super soft and I really like them and I like my UB Thirsties as well....very soft...esp for being a CPF. And the Thirsties colored ones are super soft as well (a tad softer than my UB ones are).....love those. They are more pricey than the UB ones but not nearly as much as organic pfs are so that could be an option for you as well.<br><br>
If you are wanting organic prefolds but can't afford them, look into getting some organic cotton and maybe organic hemp too (if you like hemp) and make your own...they are simple to make and you can probably make them for almost the same price as buying non organic CPF's....I'm about to make some sherpa and velour pfs and I also have some organic bamboo velour that I am going to use to make some too.....these materials are so soft and stretchy and they should fit a long time too. And if you have material left over after making your pfs, you can use it to make extra doublers.

I'll admit I actually like my GMD prefolds best of the ones I had.

I love greenmountaindiapers they are the only prefolds I'll use. (I pretty much just use pockets though<img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/redface.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="Embarrassment"> )

they seem simple to make... but I don't know how, where can you buy organic cotton? I looked before but couldn't find.
