We're debating between homebirth or a freestanding birth center. I had a hospital

birth with my first, and had the second baby in a freestanding birth center run by midwives. My second birth was really ideal, but it's 40 minutes away for prenatals and the actual birth, which is kind of a pain. I am still looking for a midwife around here, and it is pretty expensive. I don't know if our insurance will cover a homebirth. I would really like to try a waterbirth, which the midwives at the birth center won't do. I guess I have a little time to decide, since the midwives won't see me for 5 more weeks anyway. Why does pregnancy have to affect my descision-making skills?! I am completely at a loss for what I want to do!

Why don't you meet with some midwives and get the HB option started, while you have some more time to think?? You don't have to commit straight away.
