I have been lusting after a KitchenAid stand mixer for a few years now, and honestly - I do NEED one with the amount of baking I do. But I have a hard time justifying the cost, especially because I would really like one of the Pro 595watt bowl lift ones.
MSRP is $700

I'm positive I can get a better deal than that, I'm even willing to go for a refurbished one.
Last time I went to the outlet malls in the US, I thought I saw some refurbished ones for $300? But I can't remember which store had them and I'm not sure where else to look for them.

So, I need some help! What are your suggestions for websites and stores to look for the best deal?
Thanks in advance!

It sounds like you've researched your decision, but my artisan died after two years of barely even moderate use.

We got ours off of amazon at a discount.

Do you have a Costco membership? Kitchaids there are $259 right now plus in store the box has a free attachment.

http://www.costco.com/Browse/Product...atchallpartial

I like Costco because of their liberal return policy.

Did you contact KitchenAide? I thought they came with a good warranty, but it's been a while since I looked through the paperwork. I definitely wouldn't have tossed it away without looking into it more.

OP~
You can definitely find they in outlets as I know I have seen them in ours around here. But I honestly don't know if they take phone orders or how shipping would work.

What I would do, is do some searching online. Look for outlets in the states closer to you. Call the main number and ask for all kitchen supply stores. Then call those stores to see if they have what you are looking for. Seems they might be 'chains' in the outlet world, so maybe if they don't at their store, they will know who does.

Kitchenaid's warranty is a year now, and many of their models have plastic gears so cannot handle heavy dough. Make sure whichever one you buy says its all metal gears and it will last you much longer. I am on my third kitchenaid mixer ().
