We used cloth for 15mo...then switched to flushable sposies during our move and now we're using sposies (no flames please...I'm here for help!) DD will be 2 very soon and is telling us when she's "poopie" or "pee", but consistently poo's her (cloth) training pants or sposies. So I'm looking back into cloth dipes. She's wetting through the trainers and the poo ones are BAD! (She's never been a "solid poo" kinda girl...if you can explain this to me please do! She eats a lot of fiber, drinks mainly water and eats "normal adult food")
So what's a good CD or super absorbent trainer for a toddler?

We switched at 15 months and went with prefolds because we didn't want to spend a ton on a start up stash to have her potty learn too soon to make it worth it. (to tell you the truth I really don't care when she potty learns because I'm so addicted to cloth)

I have 2 dozen prefolds that I got for $60. I have 6 thristies covers (so we just fold the prefold into the cover - idiot proof for DH), a wool cover for night time (and a snappi to go with the wool). I have enough to get through 2 days without washing. We take dirty diapers to the potty and wave bye-bye and she gets excitied about flushing it. (A + for the potty learning, I hope.)

I started using cloth on dd#2 when she was 25 months old. We had a stash of 18 or 20 medium Fuzzi Bunz and they worked well for her. Now having CD'd ds from birth I would probably just go with prefolds and covers (Thirsties, BSWWs, etc.) if I were buying diapers for a 2 yr old again (assuming she is willing to lay still at least for a few seconds when getting her diaper changed?).

About the non-solid poops- my kids are like that too, quite far into toddlerhood and they go several times a day. We could not love our diaper sprayer more! It is seriously the best thing ever- you can spray off every last bit of stuff quickly and without getting your hands dirty, helps to keep the diapers stain free, no poop sitting in the pail. I highly recommend them!

Good luck- I was very happy we switched to cloth when dd was 2!

My DD was showing signs of PLing at the same age and actually didn't do it until she was almost 4! So, I wouldn't count on her PLing at this early (but nowhere near as late DD), but it would be awesome if she did. If you're really not looking to spend a lot of money I would either buy PFs and a few pull on covers or maybe some used AIOs. Honestly I would skip pockets since they'll wick moisture from her skin, and at this age I would want her to feel it.
