Here's what we have already:
30 infant size prefolds from cottonbabies
1 thirsties fab fitted (don't like it)
1 BG OS (I'm in love)
1 Bummis Super Brite (it's okay)
1 Proraps classic (used it maybe twice, hate it)
1 Stacinator so simple (like it but get leaks)
1 Motherease Sandys diaper (it's okay)
1 Motherease AIO (it's ok, but very bulky)
1 Motherease Rikki Wrap (my second fav cover)
1 Motherease Air Flow Wrap (my fav cover)
2 Snappis

We just got a check from DHs aunt for "pampers for baby". I am pretty sure I am getting a 6 pack of BG OS with this. I figure while I am spending that much, I could just get everything I need and thus save on shipping and handling later. DD was 9 lbs 7 oz at her 1 month appointment so I'm sure she is going to be outgrowing stuff soon anyhow. So what should I get and from where?

I think the BGs are a good investment. You could buy some bummis SWW and lay your infant prefolds in them when DD is too wide for the prefolds. This works with a medium and small wrap. I like the Bamboozle for nights with a Thirsties wrap. Size 1 goes until 18 lbs. I'm guessing my DD is getting close, but she can wear it for a little while more until she grows longer. I also liked the yellow edge prefold from GMD, but think maybe I should have ordered red.

I'd look into some other OS diapers if that's what you like. I've found that the BG's do not hold up as well as some of my others. I personally prefer sized diapers, but I do have a lot of OS since I have 2 in diapers still.

I like the pp's suggestion of some wraps for your prefolds, and I really like the BGs so I think that would be a good idea too. Have you seen a Mums Bums AIO? They are quickly becoming my favorite AIO because they aren't too bulky, dry quickly, and have good absorbancy. We have never done tons of AIOs, but I like to have several to use when I want them.

I hated my BG's. Glad to see others like them.

My fav pockets are the Blueberries. And they have OS if that's what you are looking for. Cotton Babies carries the Minky os Blueberries.

And for covers my favs are Imse Vimse Bumpy covers.

Agreed on the BG with snaps. I wish!

I just bought a whole bunch of different OS pocket diapers and I gotta say, the BG still fit best. I couldn't resist buying ONE because I just got rid of all my old ones with ratty velcro and stretched out elastic.

But, of all the snapping OS, the best fit so far has been Blueberry (but it's smaller than the others). I think it might be worth the investment. You could get ONE minky, right??

If you like the aplix, you might also try some Happy Heiny OS. They're bulkier and not as elegantly styled as BG, but they're cheap, really hold it in and have plenty of room for stuffing. I'll be really curious to see how the aplix holds up over time.

Blueberry runs a sale every 6 months or so. I caught the last one, it was buy 2 get 2 free. You can't beat that! If you sign up for their announcements you should get a notification about the next sale, which I've heard should be sometime about Oct. They are worth the money.

Just to put in my 2 cents, I thought the BG's were worth the investment too, when I got them. But they did NOT hold up well, they are picky for washing. Trust me your money will be better put to use on any other dipe.
