I had my dating u/s today, b/c of my ectopic history and uncertainty of my LMP. They basically told/showed me very little and said the report had to be read by the Dr. and would be sent to my dr. tomorrow. In the meantime, all I know is that she saw a "flicker", and two pregnancy parts, including a sac. This is good, right? I was so overwhelmed and nervous I didn't process much, but I gather that a flicker and a sac are good? What do you guys think?

I can understand your nervousness. I am no expert, but that sounds about right..."flicker" sounds like a heartbeat and we definitely want a sac. Try to do something enjoyable to pass the time...like pass out and not notice that you don't feel well You're due right before me so I imagine you feel pretty cruddy too. Sounds okay to me. I hate that you have to wait like that after an u/s...why not have a dr there? When are you supposed to get results?

They said they'd send them to my dr. tomorrow and then hopefully she'll call me right away! (they are slow sometimes though) It's so frustrating when it's right there and you can't see/read it!!
Thanks, you guys - will keep you posted!

I did call them this afternoon. The receptionist was really mean to me, suggested I make an appt. with the dr. to review the results - but that the first available appointment wasn't until May 2nd. After much back and forth I insisted I leave a voice mail message with the nurse practitioner. She called me back 4 hrs later, saying it was too late for her to get the u/s results b/c the u/s place was closed (and she hadn't been given the message in time)....but she said she would ask the clinic nurse to phone tomorrow and give me the results over the phone.

I don't understand why receptionsists have to be so callous. I was very forthcoming, too. I told her I was really nervous, and about my previous history, etc. I know they deal with crabby patients alot, but I really tried to be friendly! ARRGH!!!!!!

I'm sorry about that. That sort of thing really gets me down, too. Can you change providers? I wouldn't want to go through that the whole pregnancy...

I also try to make it a point never to deal with people like that. I know it's easier said than done, but I usually tell them straight up that they're being crabby and/or I change practitioners.

I think it sounds just fine. Mine had a sac and a heartbeat flicker. I am sorry you are having to deal with the crap at the Dr.
