My parents are puppy-sitting for 6 weeks and the boxer is a 6 week old female. (She's for my sister, from my BIL, a surprise)
Anyhow, she seems to be really wheezy and snorts a lot. It sounds like she is having trouble breathing through her nose.
She had shots already, and I guess (though not sure) she checked out as healthy. I have been listening for a cough, etc, but so far just wheezing and snorting.

Any advice??

With a boxer puppy that was let go at 6 weeks (meaning bad breeder), my first guess would be the soft palate. I would strongly recommend a vet visit, and it's a good idea to call the vet first to make sure they're experienced in short-faced breeds and how to fix a soft palate if it needs fixing.

Thank you Joanna. I think you are right. I tried looking into her throat and could not see anything but flesh. She snorts just like a pig. Poor pup.
We have to wait for BIL to return from his trip to let him know. I wish we had the woman's number to find out more info about the mom and litter. All I heard was that BIL "got a good deal."
