We bought three calves together with our friends. We're keeping them in a shed on our friends property until the grass comes up here. But now they've all got a cough. Please help! The vet won't come out for less than $100 and we want to make sure we need him before we shell out that type of money. Advice??

Thanks for the link. So far only one has a slightly elevated fever; the other two just have a cough. Other than the cough they have no signs of sickness seem happy, eating well etc. The vet directed us to a beef farmer in the area who'll probably sell us some of the antibiotics he uses for similar occasions. But we're only giving it to the one with the fever. We're just watching the others for now.
Thanks again for the prompt reply. Your link was just what I was trying to Google. I couldn't find a link that put the symptoms so simply stated.
