Hi everyone! x-posted on breastfeeding too....

I'm sure I'm not the only one that this is come up with! My DD who is now 1yo is getting 4 of her top teeth in. We nurse 2-4 times a day now, but over the past few days, I feel her top teeth on my nipple and it hurts so much! So hasn't bitten down with them, but I feel as if I have razors on my nipples. I really want to nurse, but now I'm so afraid. It hurts more than when we first began our nursing journey! I'm going to put some good ol lanolin on them now as we just finished and she is asleep (finally!!) Any helpful hints or do I just grin and bear it! Thanks!

I have the same thing going on with Ivan, except Ivan nurses about every hour.

If you have those nipple cups, you can put wet tea bags in them when not nursing to help sooth the pain. Also, it helps me to reposition Ivan when his teeth are really bearing on me.

Yep, Ivan loves his mommy milky and mommy snuggles. I just take his mouth off and put it in again. That usually helps. Or I switch sides. We usally nurse in our very comfy chair or in bed together.

Nursing is only every hour while awake, Ivan is a champion napper and night sleeper. He nurses about two times a night. No teeth troubles then.
