Hi everyone!

I'm sure I'm not the only one that this is come up with! My DD who is now 1yo is getting 4 of her top teeth in. We nurse 2-4 times a day now, but over the past few days, I feel her top teeth on my nipple and it hurts so much! So hasn't bitten down with them, but I feel as if I have razors on my nipples. I really want to nurse, but now I'm so afraid. It hurts more than when we first began our nursing journey! I'm going to put some good ol lanolin on them now as we just finished and she is asleep (finally!!) Any helpful hints or do I just grin and bear it! Thanks!

My DD has just popped out one top tooth and the other is just starting to poke through. For the past week or so, if I'm not careful about how she's latching it's like she scrapes her top tooth along my nipple when she latches on. It only happens every now and then, or repeatedly if she's being feisty!

I've noticed that if I know she's goofing around and I make her wait to latch on she's better. Instead of reaching out and chomping on, I'll hold off for a few seconds until she's got a big gaping mouth with her tongue sticking out.

Some days it doesn't happen at all, so hopefully (for both your sake and mine) this is a short-lived turn of events.

Thanks...the bottom teeth were ok...but I feel the top ones. I've been lazy about the latch thing too. Thanks for the reminder!
