Okay I had a laundry mishap! I washed my formerly white bumkins AIO, some CPF and a red FB and my red bummis nylon wet bag together...yes I have pink everything!

Does anyone know which red thing caused it, the red FB or the tote bag?

It's not too bad, just annoying and not PC for DS.

I use a cold water rinse and hot wash.

Oh and they both have been washed before.

Thanks,

I'm guessing you will just going to have to experiment and see which one it is. I would try soaking the pink dipe for a while with cold water and baking soda. Once I got some new Blue FBs and they bled onto my inserts but the color washed out pretty easily.

OH NO! I'm sorry to hear about your mishap! I don't think the FBs would have cause it - I have just about every color FB and have never had a problem. I also don't see how a nylon bag would bleed - especially since both have been washed. Are you sure there wasn't a stray sock??

Anyway, I had a laundry mishap awhile ago where a load of dipes came out a pale yellow. YIKES! I soaked them overnight in OxyClean, then washed them with a Shout color-catcher sheet, and hung them in the sun for a day. The color wasn't completely out, but now several weeks later after washing and sunning many times (I still use them after alll) they're still not snowy white again, but just look barely off-white instead of the yellow they were. I almost resorted to bleach, but decided against it.
I'm thinking actually about dyeing my CPFs brilliant colors! That'll definitely take care of it!

I second the oxyclean-
That stuff ROCKS!

I've seen several mentions of Bummi's bags bleeding. I'd bet it was that. Try soaking your bag in lots of distilled white vinegar overnight to get the bleeding to stop.

For your diapers, I third the Oxiclean. Oxiclean soak in as hot of water as you think your material can handle. Oxiclean is really good at cleaning dye-like stains.

I fourth the Oxi-Clean!

It's gotten out stains that have been set in from the dryer.

Thanks I will try the oxyclean soak tonight! I will also soak my nylon bag in vinegar. I would hate to have to wash it separately since I use it every other day.

I use a small amount of oxyclean in every load...
