Hi All!
I recently purchased a Graco Pack'n'Play for my baby and just set it up last night. It smelled "plasticy" so I let it breathe last night. This morning, I put dd's favorite blanket in it for comfort; I put dd in it when she started nodding off this morning. She slept in there for about 1/2 hour and when I picked her up upon waking, she REEKED of plastic. How do I get rid of the plastic aroma from the playpen mattress pad? I do NOT want to put her in there until the stench is gone. Ugh, I feel like such a horrible mother.

I think you just have to let it air out for a good long time. Can you put it in a room with open windows and a fan blowing? The smell on ours definitely went away, although I never did get ds used to sleeping in it and now it's packed away again. :LOL

I would leave it unfolded, too, because if you close it up between uses it might get smelly again.

Don't worry, you're not a bad mommy!
