So our dipes were getting a little stinky and I decided to use some non clorine bleach in my last cd washings. I read the the ingredients and it said it was only hydrogen peroxide and water- so I thought it would be ok. Well now dd has a contact rash. It's not on her bum but on her inner thigh and "lady parts". WHAT HAVE I DONE? I smelled the dipe and where she peed it smells alittle like the non-chlorine bleach.

She's diaper free right now- I don't kknow if I should put anything on the rash or not. And what about the dipes BG2.0, prefolds, HH, SB) I obviously need to strip them but whats the best way?

Could she be allergic to the bleach- I followed the instructions and didn't even use very much.

I feel terrible. please help knowledgeable mamas

i've never stripped anything, can't help you there. If it were me I would take everything and rewash it once with some detergent and then once without anything and an extra rinse and try using them again. I feel so bad for you, I know how it feels to think you did something to hurt your precious little one. I know some mama on here will know more (((hugs))).

I would just give them a wash or 2 with extra rinses. Maybe since you said you could smell the cleaner on the dipe it didnt rinse well enough??
aquaphor always worked well on my babe and didnt hurt the cloth dipes absorbancy.
Good luck.
