Quick question...<br><br>
How do you remove odor from a cover (Bummis)? I washed twice with clothes, not diaper load, and it still smells funny (bad poop diaper).<br><br>
In general, should covers be washed separately from diaper load?<br><br>

I rarely have diapers that smell skunky, but my covers and PUL and wet bags get that way from time to time. The only thing that works for me is SportWash. I add one warm water wash (with almost a capful of sportwash) to my washing routine to "strip" the "plastic-y" stuff.<br><br>
You can find it in the Sporting Goods section at Walmart.<br>

Also, I wash covers with diapers all the time. The only time a cover makes it into the regular laundry is when I've *just* done a diaper load and want to use that cover before the next diaper washing day. <img alt="" class="inlineimg" src="http://www.mothering.com/discussions/images/smilies/smile.gif" style="border:0px solid;" title="smile">

I've heard of stink issues many times with bummis covers, and eventhough I don't know how to cure it, I know many mamas spray a mix of tto and water on their covers between uses to prevent the smell. Maybe when the smell is gone you could try that so it won't happen again.<br>

I just recently bought some Tea Tree Oil, and it really works! You only need a drop... : )

Tea Tree Oil works for me too when I really need it... But usually vinegar alone takes care of mine...<br><br>
