Hi all, I have a 3 y.o. who has recently (mostly) night weaned. I want to help him sleep without me. He has a room where he can share a bed with a sibling. Can you help me?

I would just add that I have a reason for wanting to make this shift, but would prefer not to post it here; I respectfully request that there be no debate or focus on that point. If there are any folks who can support me in helping my child sleep in his own room, please help!

I (or a babysitter) can get him down in his room no problem.

Sometimes I stay in there and sleep with him, to help him feel comfortable and safe in that room. Is that helpful? Or am I just continuing the expectation that I sleep with him?

When I sleep in my own room, he often joins me at 6 AM. That's not ideal. Sometimes he wishes to join me at 3 AM. This is a problem.

Is there anything I can do to encourage him to sleep the night in his room?

ETA: His room is dark. Also, I do not have a spouse who can help me.
