My sister is coming out for christmas with her husband and two year old daughter. I'd like to get them something sweet but useful and I thought maybe a healing basket would be nice as a family gift. I don't want to spend more than $30 though and now I'm not sure it can be done without being skimpy looking. What would you include as essentials?

I was thinking

bandaids (son can decorate with stickers or something)

boo boo bunny (maybe with red towel to hide blood)

My local health store has 25% through today so I was thinking of picking up some natural remedy stuff but not sure what to buy... any help is greatly appreciated!

I was thinking about doing this for my family this Christmas and put together this list:

Ice bag (http://www.containerstore.com/shop/bath/medicationStorage?Ntt=retro+ice+bag&productId=10025746)

Rubber hot water bottle and cover

Arnica gel

Band-aids

Tweezers

Aloe vera

Itch cream (for after bug bites. I can't remember the name of the brand I like, though. It's a common drugstore one, but the kid version is pretty nice.)

Weleda Calendula cream

Thermometer

Feel better blanket http://6dukes.blogspot.com/2009/10/comfort-measures.html

Ichthammol drawing salve (for splinters especially, which are common in our rustic, wood-heated house)

Red washcloths so blood on them isn't as alarming as on white washcloths

Chamomile tea

Ricola cough drops

http://www.amazon.com/Dont-You-Feel-Well-Sam/dp/076362408X/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1275434677&sr=8-1

thanks for all the ideas! I actually haven't had a chance to leave the house to shop until tonight. While out though I picked up a cute stuffed animal looking hot water bottle at tjmaxx. Now I guess it's just a matter of putting it all together.and making it presentable. ha
