So I got an aristocrat and I soaked it in warm water with Eucalan wool wash as per instructions for 20 min and then I wrung it out and dried it, no rinsing.
I tried it last night with a bambineo and a doubler and it leaked. It may have been compression leaking. She sleeps swaddled tightly and on her back.
Is there any way to fix this? I would love to use wool at night but I keep having wetness/leaking issues. Is there a diaper that I can put underneath that will be more absorbant?

A new wool cover will need a more thorough lanolization that you can get with Eucalan. Eucalan does contain lanolin, and it's good for maintaining a cover that's already lanolized, but for a new cover, you need more lanolin than that. Get hold of a tube of Lansinoh, like for sore nipples. Dissolve some, about two inches of it, in a teacup of boiling water. Then pour it into a sinkful of lukewarm water, and stir it around. Turn the cover inside out and plunge it into the water and swish it around, then let it soak awhile, then wring and dry. Rubbing a bit in the backside of the cover can help mat the wool a little and make it more waterproof, too. Not too much, just a little. The cover will be very sticky at first, but baby's skin will absorb the excess. You may have to redo this every few months or so.

Even with this treatment, you need more absorbency if the diaper is totally soaked. I don't know much about the diaper you're using-- is it a fitted diaper? You may need multiple doublers, or even a prefold folded inside the diaper.

Thanks I'll do a more thorough lanolinizing. I have a bottle of it. It's a bamboo fitted with a doubler already in it.

I lanolize inside out which tends to help too.
