Help! Yellow stain on my velour dipee!

459 Views 7 Replies 7 Participants Last post by  onediaperinmama
I have yellow stains on my velour fitted, the velour is cream. Any steps on how to maybe get it out. It was from a nasty poop that he had after coming home from the hosipital. I think it was all the medication he was on, because I never had stains like this before.

Please help!

Thanks!

I don't know because I have a slight yellow breastpoo stain on one of my OV diapers too and it doesn't seem to want to come out no matter what I try. I think velour and OV just hold stains more than other materials.

Anyone?
sun.

My daughter has this obsession with pooping nice yellow poops on her OV diaper, too. The sun did a decent job the last time -- must do it again, though. hee hee

I've also heard people say lemon juice, and sun.

Sun seems to be key.
I second the sun. It was the only thing that worked to get the stain off of our OV.

I will have to try that
. Lemon juice and put in the sun. As the sun alone has not worked, and I do not want to ruin my velour SOS.

Sun! It's the only thing that works for my dd OV diapers. I do believe it has brightened my OV too much because I have some that look almost white and some that look more natural OV. Strange!

Did you lay it out after it was washed? Everyone says "sun" but it works best if you wash the diaper and lay it out in the sun wet. As it dries, the stain bleaches out.

However, sun bleaches out organic stains, if you think the stain was from some medicine your baby was taking you might need to try a stronger stain fighter solution with chemicals.
