Is it possible for an almost 2 year old to have hemrroids? She has two bumps on either side of her anus that get pretty aggrivated when she poops. She's not constipated or anything. Also, after a bm, her butt crack is very red!

So is it possible she has hemrroids and if so how do I treat it? I'd like to avoid the doctor if at all possible.

More than likely it is a minor fissure. I went to my doc when dd appeared to have a hemmerhoid. I called first and they told me that toddlers don't get them and that I needed to come in immediately. Since my D.Ht. told me the same thing I went. Turned out to be a fissure (looked JUST like a hemmerhoid) and I treated it myself. They could have prescribed something, but I wouldn't have done it anyway. They only had me come in, I found out later, to rule out sexual assault.

I used tamanu oil and upped her zinc and MSM for tissue repair. It was gone in about a week. For her it was brought on by a dairy allergy.

Thanks firefaery! I'll try that before I take her in.
